The 1X1 welcomed Burscough to Paton Field on
Saturday. Winning the toss, Caldy decided to bat reaching 118 all out from 52
overs, with contributions of 18 and 17
at the top of the order from Anthony Sams and
Andy Murphy, and 37 from Danny Hargreaves. Burscough reached their target with
5 wickets to spare in 38.3 overs, thanks mainly to a half-century from Alan
Murray with Andy Lawley taking 4/29.
Phil Luxon scored 49 in the 2X1 game at Skelmersdale, with
Caldy winning the toss and setting a total of 137 from 49 overs. Skelmersdale
eventually winning the game by 6 wickets after 40.2 overs.
