Clubmark re-accreditation
Jan 25, 2010, 11:34 amCaldy Cricket Club is one of a growing number of Cricket Clubs that take the welfare of children at its club incredibly seriously. By taking the time to work towards and achieving ClubMark Caldy has shown its commitment to its junior players and to its wider local community.
The ClubMark logo is recognised by both ECB and Sport England and it tells teachers, parents, community leaders, Local Authorities, funding agencies and all those with a responsibility for the welfare of young children that Caldy is a safe place for children to enjoy playing cricket.
The ClubMark logo proves the club has:
- A Child Welfare policy
- Specific personnel trained in Child Welfare issues
- Comprehensive Insurance Cover
- The capability to administer First Aid where needed
- A Constitution that allows any child to play and get involved
Most importantly, it proves that Caldy CC is a club where you can send your child safe in the
knowledge they will be well looked after and enjoy their cricket.

The committee would like to thank Dave Stewart for his hard work in securing Caldy's Clubmark re-accreditation.

Just a quick reminder to everyone that the end of season awards night is being held up at the club this Friday (16th) from 7.30 pm. Please make your best efforts to attend and to pass this email on to EVERYONE who may be interested - the more people the merrier, and it'll be a good chance for everyone to catch up prior to next year's pre-season.
There are approximately 12 senior awards to be handed out, as well as Junior awards.
The event is FREE to attend. There will be a hot-pot available, as well as the opportunity to buy raffle tickets and to donate some money for the end-of-season booklet. Naturally, the bar will be open.
The Club's AGM will take place on Thursday 29th October, from 8pm at the Clubhouse. Again, please make an effort to attend - this is your club, too, and it's your chance to have a say in the running on it. This applies to people of all ages - no-one is exempt from attending.
