UKCC2 ECB Coach

There are still places available for the course above, which starts on 10th October.

The course will enable the coach to:
- introduce and develop the game of cricket to people of all ages in a safe and enjoyable way,
- develop fundamental movement skills,
- develop and improve players (as people as well as cricketers),
- develop coaching skills, knowledge and qualities,
- demonstrate competence against UKCC/National standards for coaches.

 
The Course goes into greater detail than the UKCC1 Course on 'HOW TO' coach, as well as looking in greater detail at the technical, tactical, physical, mental, and performance management of working with both individual and teams.

The Course equips the Coach to work safely and effectively in the net environment as well as building on the principles of group coaching.

The programme consists of five six-hour modules with supported practice and an assessment. Alternatively, a course starting in February at Birkenhead school will consist of eight three-hour modules with supported practice and an assessment.

UKCC1 ECB Coaching Assistant

The course is aimed at beginner coaches who will be able to assist more qualified coaches, delivering aspects of coaching sessions, normally under direct supervision.
This role may include running warm ups, cool downs, small sided games and small group work.
The course is essentially designed for parents and volunteers starting on the coaching pathway.
The course will help coaches prepare for, deliver and review cricket coaching sessions and enable them to:
- introduce and develop the game of cricket to people of all ages in a safe and enjoyable way,
- develop and improve players (as people as well as cricketers),
- develop coaching skills, knowledge and qualities,
- demonstrate competence against UKCC/National standards for coaches.

 
The programme consists of four three-hour modules and a final assessment.

Caldy CC 1st XI posted 300-5dec.  Sunny Gandhi 201 a club and league record.  2nd wicket partnership of 169 with Chris Edwards (53).  Sutton St Helens were promptly dispatched for 75, a winning margin of 225, another league record.
